In the Heat of the Night Refliction 

This movie was one of the most important 1960s movies during this time. Here's why…

When this movie started I got a taste of what time this was immediately african americans where not respected nor had rights and women were overlooked from men. Some say the movie is the most important in the 1960s this makes much sense to me because I saw how its still important in today society 

But back in 1960 it was extremely critical to start change with racism

How one side made laws and looked down at a race my mind can comprehend but This movie showed me a lot and helped me get more in to the 1960s it gave me a perspective on how a smart black man or women was looked under and how much they could have helped in history but the whites made that impossible for them. 

Hamilton Fords as this black man sitting at a train station was somehow a suspect of a killed man that his hands were clean with.

When he got put into the police station I loved how he acted. He was so respectful even though he didn't have to; his personality itself made me think of how composed and nice he was when he talked. It was right he is a listener more than a talker like the police at this time. 

How can one just see a man in a suite and tie then with a sophisticated personality just judged them on their skin color thats the whole point of this movie I started to think the night I watched this movie on how so many African American's where looked over it almost makes me think what if this was never history in society. 

One thing I liked was when the police saw how smart this black man was they saw a color but when the one and only man with a different race in the room had something actually smart and educated to say they all put their noses down and didn't want to believe him it makes total sense of how he had to keep his composter so well because the society he was surrounded by it was not ever fair. 

I saw how the police were almost with their head in the ground and as someone whose job is an investigator no wonder they had to have help or this case would have been cold like so many others when the white officer at this time thought they were right with white men or higher ups  in the room they just where. It's hard to believe that this was our country at once but this is what makes the history we learned and learned so important. 

With the actress at this time also going back in the 1960s I love the impact of this award. It was not always that an African American would get awards back then.

This movie just wasn't a wake up call and change for the future, it was an act.

When you have a wakeup call in society it can have lots of positive impacts to it and that's why movies like this are so important today. Sometimes a society needs to be woken up, good or bad we should always have open minds about something. When you have a movie that changes others mindsets and also the winnings for the Africa americans this was a big change is Society and the next step.
